      Does Dreamweaver let you insert your own style rules? For example, to render this:

      Because that rule will only affect the four walls of the table itself, and not the cells it contains, you may prefer to set a global style rule elsewhere in your page to handle both the table and its cells, e.g.,

      #table1, #table1 th, #table1 td {border:1px solid blue;}

      Does any of that make sense in Dreamweaver?

      Hi

      Thank you for your reply

      Yes it does let you create styles,but I thought there should be a dropdown box in the properties as there is for background colour, perhaps I am mistaken.

      Try this: in the code panel (split or code view) put your cursor inside the table tag and hit on your keyboard. You should get a dropdown list of available properties. Just double-click the one you want e.g. bordercolor and you should then get a color table where you can select your desired option. Of course you can also type in any suitable value between the quotes. When you are finished just click Refresh button in the properties panel and the changes are reflected in the design panel.

      Hope this helps —
