Sysprep fails in Win 11 Pro 24H2

I’ve got a dozen workstations I’d like to image with a single master golden image. I’ve installed the software but I keep getting annoying sysprep errors because Microsoft keeps downloading stuff from the MSFT store without my choosing to do so. Is there any way to block the Microsoft store so I don’t get sysprep errors?

Unfortunately I need to connect this golden image machine to my on prem AD to install a few apps and that is when Microsoft in its infinite wisdumb auto-downloads bloat apps from the MSFT store which breaks sysprep.

Anyone found a way around these problems?

Yes, I’m aware of that. I was asking if there was a way to stop Windows from downloading the apps and causing the issue in the first place.

I’ve seen many posts that say I should try the following:

At first Win 11 setup screen – go into Windows Audit Mode
Ctrl + Shift + F3

I’m going to try this step and see if I can add the machine to the domain and install the apps and THEN sysprep w/out any errors. I’ll just patch when I clone this golden image. I sure wish Microsoft would just provide us with a fix for Sysprep that matches with the reality of the OS in 2025. These are bugs and they should be addressed, we shouldn’t need to spend extra time doing what the tool should do by itself.
