sync changed files

I have some excel spreadsheets in my desktop Pockt_PC My Documents. I placed them there by “adding” them to the folder. When I alter the spreadsheet, the file in the Pocket_PC folder does not reflect the change so it is not changed on my Axim. The only way I can get the new spreadsheet is to delete the one in the folder and add the new one….not very handy. what am I doing wrong?

In Activesynch, in the bottom pane, you should have a list of all the file types that are synchronised. There should be a yellow Files icon. Right-click on that and select Settings . The following dialog box should tell where your Synchronised Files location is. This is where your files should be to be synchronised automatically if changes are made on any device.

If Files isn’t in Activesynch you can enable it by going Tools|Options and selecting it from the Synch Options tab.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I do have that folder and the files in it to be synced. Those are the ones that do not update when I change them. Someone on another list suggested I delete the current partnership and create a new one. Did that to no avail. Any other thoughts?
