Here at our business we had been running Symantec Antivirus 10.2 BNDL Business Pack. Our license expired May 5 and we had ordered and paid for a new license, which has always been very easy to update to our server. Well to our surprise, symantec decided that they were changing things and it is no longer a simple license purchase… they sent me a bundle of Symantec Endpoint Protection which is four bundles and 305 pages of instructions! Needless to say I am very upset anigrin ! Anyone out there with a simple way to install this or have another software they would recommend and we’ll toss this in the trash. blowup

So what are you using now?

        • #1108257

I use Avast AV, Zone Alarm Firewall and Spybot S&D. All the free versions, so it would have to be the paid registered versions for business use, of course.

Symantec just got to be too invasive and difficult to maintain even for personal use.
Perhaps some of the other Loungers who use other business apps can suggest other possibilities.

We also use the same Client Server Messaging Security for SMB suite as referenced in post 709,953. It has been easy to setup, administer, & use.

I like centrally managed products for the office environment. If Symantec Endpoint Protection is the latest version of their corporate edition, it’s probably worth the trouble to install it compared with a lot of stand-alone products.

We use Trend Micro (Client Server Messaging Security for SMB) for desktop and server AV/AS, vulnerability scanning, and Exchange anti-spam.
