We, the admins, sysadmins and uber users of the Microsoft Windows 10 platform respectfully ask Microsoft to stop the bait and switch actions you are currently doing with Windows 10 professional sku. Branch releases should not remove management control features that were shipped in an earlier release unless they are replaced with a mechanism of equivalent ease in a network.

Two times now you have release branch releases that have removed settings that allows administrators of systems to better control the operating system and now require us to purchase the Enterprise or Academic sku in order to protect our systems.

    The petition at Change.org:

Microsoft: End the bait and switch – Stop removing features in branch releases

How do these changes affect taxis?

For all the good it will do, I’ve signed.

OK, signed as well – not sure it will make any difference to me, but I know it will to others on this forum.

I think it is much more about Microsoft changing its ways. We can choose to do nothing or we can try. The petition is, at least, a way to tell Microsoft to stop this trend.

I’m rather disappointed that (after checking just now) the number of signers is only 166.
Apparently not many agree with Susan, or they don’t know about the petition.

I have a feeling that not many know about the petition. Rather disappointing so far.

I might have signed it if it didn’t have a dozen spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.
