Surface Pro 4 locks up with Zoom video conferencing

When I attempt to access the “”Chat” or the “Particpants” function when I use Zoom video conferencing, the program locks up.  I can sometimes access these functions once in a session without a problem but more than twice and everything locks up.  I’ve tried using keyboard and tablet access and the problem persists.  Chat is essentially not available to me.

Zoom works fine if I do not attempt to Chat or access Participant list.

This only happens on my Surface pro and does not on other PC running windows 10.

How can I troubleshoot this issue.

Zoom updates have kept arriving every week or two in recent months, suggesting that Zoom are active in supporting their product. I would go there first. It would be interesting to hear whether they are interested in your problem.

Updating everything was my first step.  Absolutley unable to contact Zoom for any support.  They are using Covid as an excuse to eliminate any live support and their chat is virtual and therefore limited to canned responses.

Have now resorted to signing up as a paid customer rather than a free customer and will attempt to open a support ticket.

Hope that this will get me some response.
