HI…I am new to this forum. SOOOOOOOOOOO glad to have found it.

Man… MS.com is irritating and impotent.

I received an email warning me of a virus program that should be deleted immediately or before June 1, 2001. Well…. this ‘virus’ is the Windows 98 exe file for file long names.

    Yep… you guessed it… I deleted it… completely.

Where can I download the SULFNBK.exe file to restore my long name associations?

    Thank you,
    Debra

      Hi Debra:
Symantec has a page dealing with this situation here, you’ll find a link about half way down the page that takes you through restoring the .exe file. smile

Another respondent has answered your basic question. However, I’ll just point out that you should NOT assume that “virus warnings” from anonymous sources are real (particularly if they say that they are impossible to detect); there’s lots of hoaxes out there! Check on your antivirus vendor’s web page (you DO have antivirus software I hope?) for current viruses and updates to get rid of them. http://www.vmyths.com has lots of information on (among other things) virus hoaxes.
