I have just setup a second computer on my home network (Belkin ADSL Wireless Modem Router)

My laptop is connected Wireless and the (new) PC by cable.

Both are running W2K and both have workgroup set as WORKGROUP

If I look for computers near me from my laptop I see my laptop and I see the other computer (called “claire”). But if I click on Claire it says “Claire is not accessable. The network path was not found”

If I look for computers near me from the PC (claire), I get the message “Workgroup is not accessable. The network path was not found”

Extra info: The laptop has IP address 192.168.2.2 and the PC has 192.168.2.3

I can ping the PC from the laptop, but if I try to ping the laptop from the PC it times out???

    Does this help?

Any ideas what I have done wrong?

Well I’ve fixed that problem. It was the ZLID firewall that was preventing it.

Now the next question. How do I share a pronter without requiring a userid and password to be entered each time?
