I’ve been a Onedrive subscriber via Office 365 for many years.
I make automatic ANNUAL payments for Microsoft Office 365. My next payment is due December 24th, 2026. I have re-confirmed my Microsoft account shows my pay plan as annual, not monthly.
Now I’m suddenly getting a cryptic popup msg from the Onedrive app on my Android phone (S24 Ultra):
I’m NOT receiving this notice on my computer in email nor do I see any mention when logged into my Onedrive account from my desktop machine. I only see it from the android Onedrive app on my phone.
The last line in the message above “Starting on your next billing after February 20, 2025” is confusing.
Technically, my “next billing after February 20, 2025” is my annual payment due December 24th, 2026.
Yet the popup message above appears to assume I’m on monthly payments.
I want to avoid having a possible double charge and all the hassle of getting it correct through Microsoft.
My gut says to just completely uninstall the Onedrive app on my phone and live with out it for a while.
Is anyone else seeing this popup from the Onedrive app on an android phone?
Suggestion / Opinions please.
Note: I keep local copies of all my Onedrive files (165gb) on a data drive in my desktop. This data drive is synced daily to two other external drives and 2 HDDs so I have solid off-line air gapped protection for my all my Onedrive files.
