I’ve got a spreadsheet with lots of monthly tabs, for which I usually use the current month and maybe the month before, and one other tab that I use all the time. Is there a way to make the one tab always ready to be clicked? It seems like this is something I’ve seen somewhere before, but I can’t canoodle it myself now.

No, that is not possible.
However, You can right-click the navigation buttons on the left hand side to get a popup menu listing up to 15 sheets; you can click a name of a sheet to select it. If the number of sheets is large, the popup meni will contain an item More Sheets… that will display a dialog listing ALL sheets.
You could also place a hyperlink to a specific sheet on the other sheets. That way, the specific sheet would always be only one click away.

I thought of using a hyperlink (learned how to do that here in the Lounge years ago) as I was asking the question. I might do that, but the right click thing will do for now. Thanks for the cool trick!

Hyperlinks are Great but I use the below.

When I work with a large amount of Tabs what I like to do is first go to the far away TAB.

Now I select the Cell where I want to be in that TAB when I revisit.

Now Using the Name Box give the Cell the Name AAA

Anytime you want to revist just go to the Name Box drop down. The first item listed should be AAA just click and your back. You can use AAB for another sheet, etc.

Makes for easy navagation.

When done use Insert, Name, Define, and when the Box opens highlight and delete the references.

Of course the above assumes that you have the Name Box visible on you toolbar.
