I have a Compaq laptop that I’ve had for about a year with XP on it, and it just recently started giving me error messages every time I boot up. It gives me the little message that says “Your system has recovered from a serious error” and then asks you to send a report to Microsoft, which I couldn’t do, even if I wanted to, because that computer is not currently online. When I say no, it gives me the same message at least 10 more times. Then it goes away. Any suggestions? It’s definitely a problem I can live with, but a rather annoying one.

thanks…this works great. It took me a while to be able to download the patch onto my laptop because it is not online when I’m at school, but it fixed the problem.
