SSTAB – license not found (VB6 (SP6))

My VB6 program has a form with SSTAB control (TabCtl32.ocx). It compiled and worked fine all along. Then I stopped playing with it for a while. When I wanted to check something and tried to open the form with SSTAB in design view, I got the error message “Line xx : Error during load”, and when I viewed the log file, the reason was “Cannot load control SSTAB; license not found.” I checked and still found the file TabCtl32.ocx in c:windowsSystem32, and successfully (at least that was I was told) re-registered it. But the error persists. I can’t compile my program now with the SSTAB error.

What shall I do to get my SSTAB back (including dabbling in the registry)? What I did during the time lapse that made me lose the SSTAB lisence? Please help.

Thanks, Hans. I downloaded the program VB6Cli.exe which solves the SSTAB’s license problem. I still wonder why suddenly the license info disappered. Corrupted registry? What does VB6Cli.exe do which regsvr32.exe fails? I just wonder.

It was probably a corrupt registry entry, but it’s hard to know for sure.
