I have two hard drives. One is 128GB SSD. The other one is a 1TB 7200RPM SATA . The system is Windows 7 64-bit.
Which of the following two configurations is better?
1) Partition the 128GB SSD to C drive and D drive. Put the operation system in C and all the frequent used data files (My Documents) in D. The 1TB is used for backup.
2) The 128GB is used only for operation system. Put all the frequent used data files and backup in 1TB.
Yes, I have a network hard drive (NAS) connected through router as a second mirror backup.
The operation system is about 45GB while frequent used data files folder is about 10GB.
The same question I want to ask is whether the data flows within a hard drive faster than that between hard drives.
