    Two puzzles here.

    • In Puzzle 1, you are to form the longest word possible by picking a starting letter, then moving from square to square. You may move diagonally, vertically or horizontally. Backwards, forwards, up and down. The only rule is that you cannot use the same letter square twice.
    • In Puzzle 2, you are looking for 7 different words. The words are all related in some fashion, category or subject. As, blue, red, white, etc. would all be colors. Like the first puzzle, you may move from letter to letter as in Puzzle 1. You may re-use a square for a different word but you cannot re-use a square within a word.

      Puzzle 1# First attempt: Gastulations

        Rob…

I found a definition for GASTRULATION but not GASTULATION. If you can prove it’s a word, I’ll declare you the winner, as it’s certainly longer than the word I thought I hid…

          Ricky,

I knew the word ‘ gastrulation ‘ from my Biochem days but I thought I recalled the word ‘ gastula ‘. Googling revealed many sites referring to this word but they appear all to involve spelling mistakes (try it). Thus, I cannot prove it and I humbly concede. I’ll keep on trying. Nice puzzle.
