I need some help!!!! I have a SQL server 7 database and I want to create an access database to enter records and produce reports. I also want to put this on our internet sight and let the user run the access program to enter data. Is this feasible? If feasible, where do I begin????

    Thanks,
    Deborah

You will need Access installed on each of the machines that will use the application, and you’ll need adequate seat licenses for SQL Server. If you’re missing either of the above, it won’t work.

Do you have a DBA for the SQL Server database? Security is very different in SQL Server from Access, and if the database is large or the queries are complex, they’ll need to be converted to stored procedures and executed from Access rather than using Access queries, which can be slow even against a SQL Server back end.
