Happy 4th of July USA – have a great long weekend! Since the lounge search is down hope someone can help me with this. A user keeps getting the message “Spelling and grammar is complete” popping up on her screen in Outlook, Word and Excel, even though she is not asking it to do a spell or grammar check. She is not using Word as her e-mail editor. I couldn’t come up with anything via a google search. Is it possible this may be a virus? TIA,
Edited to add: we are a large network and use NAV Full version 8.00.9374; 7/3/02 rev 16.

In Outlook 2000, spell checking doesn’t depend on Word as an email editor. Tools–>Options–>Spelling contains the spell check settings. Outlook automatically checks my messages before they are sent and only pops up a dialog if it finds a spelling problem. Has she changed dictionaries lately? I’m assuming this is a new phenomenon and that it wasn’t doing this before. Can you confirm that?

Thanks for the response, Charlotte. Yes, it’s a new phenomenon. And no, she hasn’t changed dictionaries recently. We’re going to redo her profile and see if that fixes it. But I am puzzled as to why this would occur.
