Space bar adds item to dropdown list (Word 2000)

A user is having a problem that I should know the answer to, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the depths…

When she is attempting to save, pressing the spacebar adds whatever she’s already typed to a dropdown list, rather than simply inserting a space. How do we fix this??

Could you expand on this? Why would she be pressing the spacebar when attempting a Save? How is she attempting a Save? Is she in the main part of the document or in a dialog box when attempting to save?

It ocurrs to me that you may be talking about adding words to a DropDown Form Field. If so, she must make sure that the focus remains in the Drop-down item box. e.g. if you type something in that box & press Tab twice, the focus is on the “Add” button. Pressing the spacebar would then add words to the dropdown list.
