Some icons on the ‘Subscriptions’ page — what are they for?

Under my Profile avatar, there is a link for ‘Subscriptions’, This is the screen I get when I click on that.

What is the blue box with the ‘x’ in it for?
What is a “Sticky Topic”? It doesn’t seem to be the same as “Favorites”, because under my Profile avatar, when I like on the ‘Favorite’ link, I don’t see ‘Thunderbird updates’ listed as a Favorite.

The blue box with an x is if you want to unsubscribe.

Sticky topics are ones at the top of the forum. They are shown with a yellow background.

Glad you could make ‘heads or tails’ of that post. “When I like on” should have been “When I look at” – close but not close!!

What makes a topic “sticky”? I confess that I’ve never paid attention to the yellow background before. Or maybe I’ve not seen it that often to notice. Is this something new? How does a topic get a yellow background, i.e., what is it about the topic that gives it ‘stickiness’ and consequently, gives it the yellow background.

Who gives it this yellow background?
Not every topic at the head of its respective Forum is sticky/has a yellow background so being/becoming ‘sticky’ is not automatic as a result of being the #1 topic.

There’s something about ‘stickiness’ that I can’t quite grasp here.

Moderators decide on what should be sticky.  We stick them on the top of a forum if someone is asking a lot of questions about a  topic.  It’s not new, it’s been around on the forum for a long time.
