I’m Math Challenged. It’s been too long since I did this type of math.

I need to solve the following equation for T.

    Thanks.!!!!

#jepalmer, you seem to have omitted the equation…

        ..so that means T=0

          yep.
Sorry, I thought the jpg I pasted in the message went through.

      Hi jepalmer,
      1. Apply the property of logs, log (X/Y) = log X – log Y.
      2. Cross-multiply to eliminate the denominators.
      3. Add or subtract terms on each side of the equation so that the terms involving T are on the left side and the terms not involving T are on the right side.
      4. Factor out T from the left side.
      5. Divide both sides by the non-T term on the left side.

I didn’t get it totally solved for T, but …

Also, this reference might help if you can contact the authors as they indicate they programmed this to solve for T.
Maybe they can share the formula with you.

Well, well, well! And, they’re floating a log down stream!

      jepalmer,

Try this formula for calculating transmissivity (T):

      45169-Transmissivity

      45170-Transmissivity1

Which is essentially saying, what power do you have to raise 2.71 for it to equal R/rw. You can use the excel Log formula to perform the calculation
