Is it possible to have Outlook put soft line breaks instead of hard ones in email messages? If I get email with a URL I often have to repair it because the URL has been broken in two by a hard line break, and messages often look ugly with hard and soft line breaks.

This is the “nature” of plain text messaging sent through the internet (SMTP mail) … if both the sender and the receiver (you in this case) can handle HTML formatted messages that’s what you’ll need to get the message with the URL intact.

Note however this requires work on the sender … by the time you receive the mail within Outlook as a plain text message the “hard” line breaks are already there.

      Hope this helps.

If your on Exchange server it’s also worth noting that most sites convert outbound email to plain text. You may be able to overwrite this on an individual contact basis, but that depends on how your account is set up.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
Your account can't use all available BBCodes, they will be stripped before saving.
