SnagIt 9 has been released June 10, 2008. Haven’t received an official notice from TechSmith but I used the “check for updates” feature in SnagIt 8 and it advised me of the new version.
For all current users, use the About | Check for upgrades in your current version of SnagIt. It will take you to a special upgrade page where the upgrade can be obtained for US$19.95.

I paid the $19.95 and installed the new version, no need to uninstall the old version. Still playing around with the new toy so don’t ask too many questions. But from what I’ve seen so far, me likes it !!!
