Slow, very slow reading pane (Outlook 2003 SP 2)

Hi,
It takes a lot to display the content of a mail in my reading pane. I thought that it was because of the size of my PST, so I reduced it and compress it, but it keeps on being very slow. I tried to disable some complements I have installed but it didn’t work
Please, I would like some help.

Thank you for your Quick answer. Unfortunately none of the preceedings worked for me. I tried also to uninstall Acrobat, in case of the PDF creation was the culpright, and the antivirus check of the outbound mails and it was useless.
If anybody have another idea…
