Hi, when certain sites are viewed, the scrolling on IE6 is painfully slow to the end my screen sometimes freezes. This has only just started to happen and I have note installed anything new recently. Any reasons?
Thanks.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

There are some general steps that could improve performance. Go to Tools/Options/General tab & clear history & temporary internet files. It’s actually better if you boot to DOS & do this, as well as deleting your index.dat (in DOS). There have been posts on this but the Lounge search is still down.
Additionally, you should run a scandisk & defrag. I would also run a virus check & use a utility like Spybot S&D.
Hope this helps,
If Spybot and AdAware don’t do the trick, check out the information about CoolWebSearch . There’s a link to a removal tool at the bottom of the page.
CoolWebSearch and its many incarnations can create the symptoms you describe, especially when IE isn’t kept patched.
Hi Miz:
I’m guessing that you intended to reply to iksotof. Nevertheless, you’re link doesn’t work…you may have entered it incorrectly. You can use the syntax:

Cheers,
