• Slides from outline – bullets

    Hello. PowerPoint 2003.

When using the feature Insert/ Slides from Outline I see that Heading 1s become titles and Heading 2s become bullets.
Is there a way that Heading 2s could be subtitles, and bullets become bullets?

    Thanks, Andy.

That is using the default bulleted list slide. What happens when you change the slide layout to title slides?

      Thank you (again).

I can convert the Heading 2s to subtitles this way, but still lose my original bullets. Andy.

I’m not at a machine with 2003 right now (hence my vague answer about recording macros in your other post). But I wonder if you made a custom design template with a custom layout which included all your elements.
I’m not sure that this is possible in 2003 – the range of possibilities for custom layouts was one of the big improvements in 2007.

I don’t think this can be done in 2003; I believe I can only move the existing place-holders around, not add another.

I believe I can achieve what I need in a few stages.

Re-order the Word document to separate Titles/ Subtitles and Titles/ Bullets.
Change the slide layouts (possibly twice).
Then drag the slides to the correct order.

Messy, but it should work. Thanks again, Andy.
