      Not only apple silicon, seems AMD are working on a CPU flaw that affects EPYC, Ryzen Zen 1 through to Zen 4 CPU’s which, are in the process of being offered microcode patches together with updated BIOS firmware from various OEM motherboard suppliers.

      We have seen these side channel proof of concepts ever since Spectre and Meltdown. Sadly the preventions ended up being worse then the actually practical threats. So you can sit in a lab somewhere and create a potential threat under ideal conditions. It means nothing other then its a proof that it could be done. Not really addressing how practical it is to really use it in real world conditions.
