This is a simple puzzle we use to use at school a lot, mainly because it had two trick answers. The answers were … 41 and ‘a window’

And here’s the proof:

x=.999999999………….
therefore 10x=9.999999999999999999999999……….
subtract the equations:
9x=9
divide by 9 on both sides
x=1
Therefore, 1=.9999999999999…………….
thus 1+1=1.9999999999999999999999……..

Which presents at least one more ‘trick’ answer, which would be a doughnut and coffee
