    Hi,
I have Win7-64bit. I have Explorer 9 installed. When I try to watch a news video, it tells me I need to install Microsoft Siverlight to watch it. I have the latest version of it installed already. I have reinstalled Silverlight, but I get the same thing. Does the same in the 32bit version also. My other computer is Win 7-32bit and it works fine. Can anyone help me please?

There is no 64-bit version of Silverlight. This is one reason to run the 32-bit IE9 even on a 64-bit OS.

See if you can manually uninstall Silverlight – see Manually cleanup Silverlight. Then re-boot and try a reinstall.

Great!! Glad you got it resolved. Did the manual cleanup do the trick or was it something else?
