Show state of checkbox on another page

Hello,
I have a Word form with a lot of fields.
At the end of the form I want to recape some fields, because that last page is used to enter a screen form.
So what I want is that if there is a checkbox with the name CHKB1, to show the state of this checkbox also on the last page.
I have tried to create a formula { IF CHKB1 = true “X” “O” } but that is not working.
I am using Word 2010

I know I can solve it with VBA, but I want to avoid this.
I hope the is an easy in document formula solution.

Getting checkboxes to repeat is a challenge.

Your naming implies your checkboxes are legacy form fields.
Mapped Content Controls might be better if your form does not need to be used in versions of Word before Word 2010.

If you do not need the secondary checkboxes to be something that can be checked, you could use a StyleRef field.
