Is there any way to show more than the two most recently used templates on the (whatever the proper name is) panel that pops up when one wants a new document from a template?

I’m not in Word at the moment but I’m fairly sure that if you click File|New instead of the menu button you get the whole list of templates from your template folder (and subfolders)

In a quick search, I found an article in which Microsoft describes how to use some VBA code to customize the File>New task pane. I didn’t read it closely enough to know whether it’s easy, somewhat difficult, or a huge pain.
