• Show Folder Size in Windows Explorer?

In previous versions of Windows, the size of the folder is displayed at the bottom of the Windows Explorer screen… in isn’t in Windows XP. It especially bugs me that it’s not in the Recycle Bin (I like to know how much stuff I’m getting rid of). It’s not even listed in the Recycle Bin properties.

    What am I overlooking?

      Hi M.
in Win XP the Windows Explorer will show the folder size if you turn on the status bar. To do this go to View menu and make sure there is a check mark beside the second option on the drop down menu “status bar”.
It took me a while to figure that one out as well when I first started using XP. This also applies to the Recycle bin – although you may have to repeat the process there since it starts a separate instance of explorer.

        Oh, Thank you, Gladys!

I thought I had looked all over Creation for that and it wasn’t even hidden. Sorry to bother you!

It was no bother, M, we’re all here to help each other in any way we can. Most of the time I have more questions than answers so I’m glad I could be of help here! bow
          Cheers
