Should I Upgrade?

I am still holding out on upgrading to version 2004. With a bigger and better upgrade supposedly coming in Oct, do I need to do version 2004 first or can I just go straight to the new upgrade in a couple of months? Thanks for the help.

It all depends on what version of Win10 you have. Is it near EOL? v1809 or 1903? If so, you will need to upgrade before Microsoft forces the upgrade on you.

Woody recommends v1909 at the moment. V2004 still has problems. And the “bigger and better upgrade” 20H2 coming out soon has the same core and same problems as v2004.

I have Win 10 pro with 1904. Do you know if it will be possible to just go straight to the 20H2 or will we have to do 2004 first then 20H2? Thanks

You can go straight to 20H2, if that’s what you want to do.

When the “bigger and better” upgrade comes out they might have fixed 2004, so 2004 would be the upgrade choice.

At present you have a couple of months to decide whether to go to 1909 or 2004.

I checked again and I do have the 1909 version of Win Pro. I will probably wait as long as possible before going to the next update. Thanks for your help.

I am at 1909 and will stay there until I hear a 20 or 21 upgrade have minimal bugs.
