Can anyone tell me what the function of the shortcuts in the ‘Recent’ folder are for or what the folder is for? The path is C:/Documents and Settings/my profile/Applcation Data/Microsoft/Office/Recent. This is a hidden folder so you will need to enable view hidden folders to get to it.

This is used by the ‘Recent open documents’ listed in the “Start” menu and the recent listing in most appl’s that remember your “Recent” opened files.
See what is listed in the ‘Start’ menu then Documents or the list of files under ‘Files’ on your MS Word menu.
