Shortcut to AutoSum (XP)

Can anyone tell me please whether there is a way to assign a shortcut key combination to the AutoSum button in the Toolbar?

whilst working with data entry it is easier to continue using the keyboard rather than switching to the mouse to confirm the sum of the column of figures.

There is an existing shortcut key for AutoSum: Alt+=

Note: in Excel 2002, the AutoSum button has become a split popup button; clicking the arrow will display a list of functions (Count, Average, … that can be used). The keyboard shortcut will always create a SUM formula.

You can look up a list of all built-in shortcuts in the “keyboard shortcuts” help subject. AutoSum is in the Entering Formulas section (or something like that)

Also, if you select an entire table (CTRL + SHIFT + 8), plus one row below and one column to the right and then hit ALT + =, it will put totals for each row and each column in one stroke.
