In the VBA editor, when i am stepping thru, around, to, and out-of code, the shortcut keys for these actions are ‘decorations’ on F8.

    i cannot find a shortcut for Reset. I guess it’s Alt+R R ?

And while i’m asking, of what use is the Break key?

Alt+R+R will certainly work. It’s not really a hotkey, but it is a keyboard method. If you want anything else, I suspect you’ll have to build it yourself. I find it easiest to use the toolbar shortcut … which I can’t figure out how to embed here, even though I can capture the image. hmmn Anyhow, it’s the blue square.

As for the Break key, are you asking why it’s in the menu? I’ve never figured that one out, since you would have to pause code execution to use it. confused If you’re asking what it’s for, it allows you to break into code when it’s running without resetting the variables and without clearing any suspended procedures from memory (which resetting does do) … but I’m sure you already know that. grin

alt+r r will have to do.

yeah i knew what Ctrl+Break does, it’s just that i’m wondering why it’s there. I guess when a program gets stuck in an infinite loop, or when a ‘lengthy’ process is too long.
