Shortcut for Moving Columns

I know there is a shortcut using the shift key to move columns with data next to a series of columns with data. Once I click on the column heading and move into the column, I maintain the “white cross”. I believe it had to turn to an arrow and then hold down the shift and move to the new location.

You have to grab the edge of the column you want to move with the arrow rather than the white cross. Holding down Shift and dragging will then do what you want.
