Before each item on check list I would like to have a check box. In Insert Symbols all I find are plain boxes. In the past I have used a shadow box, but can’t remember how to do this.

If you have the Monotype Sorts font installed, there are a number of suitable symbols for what you want. Just format your bullet symbol to the appropriate one. If you goto Format | Bullets & Numbering and select the Bulleted tab you may find that the required symbol is there.

Just curious. Why don’t you use the form checkbox found on the Forms toolbar?

I had never looked at this tool bar and I am not familiar with how it work. I tried it and the check box appears to be a field, which is not what I want. I just want a simple shadow box. I have since created the shadow boxes by formatting bullets as a shadow box. That works, but I would like to have the shadow box a bit larger.

Try selecting it and increasing the font size.

You can’t just select just the bullet to change just the bullet font size.

Duh. Sorry. You’re right. Don’t know what I was thinking. If you used Bullets and numbering to create the bullet, then go back to Format, Bullets and numbering, Select the bullet you are using, Click on the Customize button, click on the Font button and select a larger font. Did that help?

Hurray, that did it. Many thanks for the tip.
