Setting Folder Types in Windows 10. You do this through properties but it does not behave nicely. In my pictures folder, on a separate hard drive, I have my photos organized by year from say 1990 to 2020, each year is a separate folder. Within that folder I put my photos in dozens of sub-folders by subject. I want the main folder (pictures) and the year folders to list the contents by “list.” Within each folder which contains images, I want the folder to display the thumbnail. I cannot get this to work.
It would be a lot better if Windows just memorized the last setting every time you close it. I use Shellfolderfix which does a pretty good job. But I should be able to set the folder type to display as I want. Suggestions?
