See the links in the first post in this thread. Now, they’ve issued the “fix”, that you can find there.
It is confusing, and involves going through some tables and picking out various patches
that you might need.

(Sorry, I seem to still not understand how to use the 1-Click Tag Panel to make this a proper link
for posting. I clicked on the icon, then on the spot, then inserted the URL, and this was the result.)

It’s quite easy to create the link manually: simply type before, and after the URL:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/…08-dec.mspx becomes http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/…n/MS08-dec.mspx%5B/url%5D when posted.

If you use the 1-Click TagPanel, clicking the 5th button inserts linkURL in your post. You only need to replace the text linkURL with your URL.

Seems that the fix is indeed available from MS Update.
Apparently, it’s KB960714. That has the December 17 date.
(Thanks to Hans for graciously explaining how to handle
links in the postings. This is one of the many days when
I can almost hear the marbles rolling out as I lose them.)
