The newsletter link to this forum page is incorrect

I hate it when that happens. I’ve fixed the online newsletters, but I can’t change the emails.

Apologies, and thanks for letting me know.

Seems like a giant ad for crapple products.

Thanks for the article, Will.  I’ll only add I’ve had excellent luck with my iPhones and plan to buy them in the future.

Opinions vary. And that’s exactly what you read – my opinion.

So do 35% of our readers! (But hold off on the 16s until Apple gets its act together.)

I never understood how such an expensive device as a smartphone could become so obsolete in about a year as these smartphone makers try and convince the consumer. Think of any other product you spend that much on that you would ever expect to only be good for a year or two?
I probably replace mine about every 4 years because I take care of it, and it falls in line with my replacement cycle of other tech like a laptop. Apple makes a lot of profit on iPhones so much so it has become their best profit maker. Even a 4 year old iPhone is plenty fast for most day to day tasks.

There appear to be two types of iPhone buyers – those who buy every year to have the latest and greatest, and folks like you who tend to buy baseline models and keep them for three to four years. You (and I) do so because we know that our chosen phones are not, in fact, obsolete but continue to provide value.

You and I are part of the majority. The vast majority.
