    hello Everybody

    I have inserted a Shockwave Flash Object into a slide and it plays beautifully. However, I’m trying to hide it temporarily by overlaying a rectangle and I’ve attempted to send the rectangle to the front and send the flash object to the back using the order property. When viewing the show, the flash object always appears on top. Is there any way I can achieve what I want to do?

    TIA

      No, I don’t think so. The Flash object writes directly to the screen.

          I Have had similar problems Rob and have had to resort to using the timer to go to a new slide for the ‘temporary period’ and then repeating the flash object in the next slide

          Hope this helps

          Steve

          Edited by HansV to repair links

          Editted: for some reason the whole line is becoming a hyperlink and not what I highlighted?, the web address is http://skp.mvps.org/flashback.htm%5B/url%5D

          Hi again Rob

          A quick search around some files I had when I was using a lot of Flash files bought this up http://www.itg.uiuc.edu/publications/techr…02-003cover.pdf%5B/url%5D which shows how to put controls onto the Flash object to stop and rewind etc. I don’t recall ever using it but hpefully it will help.

          If you are using Flash files this rewind add in may prove to be useful http://skp.mvps.org/flashback.htm%5B/url%5D

          Cheers

          Steve

              There are only a few objects that can appear in front of a flash object.
              Control box image holders will eg
              If you insert one from the control toolbox (no image needed) it should mask the flash (adjust fill/ line in right click properties)

              Unfortunately you cannot apply normal animations but you can right click and add this code between the two existing lines of “on click” code

              Me.Image1.Visible=False

              Thanks John. I’ll experiment.
