When I use “send a link,” an attachment is automatically created. I don’t need to send the attachment because the message frame includes the URL so I generally remove the attachment before I click Send. Is there any setting change that will eliminate the automatic attachment?

I have the same problem and I use Outlook 2000 (C/W mode). I’m curious to see if there is a solution.

This appears to be working as designed. The command it to “Send a Link”, a link file is made and attached. The hot link in the body may not always work for ALL emailers, as well as ALL attachments do not work. MS has covered all of the bases, so if one will not work the other may. I would not waste my time deleting the attachment.
