WHen using selstart, i am getting following error. Any ideas?

Object doesn’t support this property or method (Error 438)

Hi,
Can you post the code that’s causing the error? It sounds like whatever you’ve got just before the .selstart isn’t what it ought to be.

Thanks for replying, but i have now sorted it. I was applying it to a datepicker object, and have no realsied my mistake

If you get that message I guess you are trying to make a selection in a textbox on a form.
Check if the right object is referred to (is it a textbox or a combobox or is it another control (for instance a radio button) that does not support selections).
Note also that the contol has to have the focus before you can use the selstart property.
