When I try to send an email, the ‘Select Names’ dialog box only shows “Contacts” and not any contacts which are in subdirectories under “Contacts.” Is there any way to get these other names to show?

Tick the “Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book”, in the “Outlook Address Book” tab under properties for the subfolder(s) you want to use. Then you can select these subfolders in the “Select Names” dialog box from the “Show Names from the:” drop down list.

I don’t know of a way to show all the names from all the folders simultaneously. It would be a nice option though!

Fantastic! I had searched the Outlook help thoroughly, including the part on the web. I bought Woody’s book, “Using Microsoft Office XP” and read it thoroughly. Never saw any reference to this. I am delighted you knew about it
