When I open the Select Certificate dialog box (Office Button menu – Publish – Package and Sign) I find many old certificates that I would like to eliminate. How do I do that, please?

Which version of Windows are you using? (Your question is not about Access, strictly speaking)

        XP Service Pack 3.

You are correct. It is really a Windows question.

          Select Start | Run…
Type certmgr.msc and press Enter or click OK.
This will start the Certificate management console.
Expand the tree to find the certificate(s) that you want to remove.
Select a certificate and click the Delete button on the toolbar.
