Win 7-This just started tonight however I did make many changes to my settings and not sure which is causing this. Any site I go to “except this one” I get Security Alert saying the current webpage is trying to open on your intranet, do you want to allow this….click yes and it comes up again. I went into firewall and thought I took care of it but obviously not. Any one know what it is or how I can get rid of it? I have checked and rechecked all settings for hours…guess now I am so tired I can’t make heads or tales of why this just started.

I am new to this board and did search to see if it has been addressed prior but could not find anything.

Check your system’s time for accuracy. You’ll get all sorts of warnings if its off since web certificates and such are time-sensitive.

If that’s not it try another browser and see what happens. If its confined to one browser then reset all the settings for that browser (and stop addons and extra toolbars if any as well).

In IE reset to default security settings in Internet Options as shown here: You can do this for both Internet and Intranet settings.

I do not see a similar Reset to default in Chrome. I do not use FF to check.

Ted, Thanks this seemed to help. I had settings on low and one on medium so changed both to medium high. I really detest setting up new computers…now I just find out my 6month old printer is not compatible with windows 7. I have been getting window secrets/langa newletters maybe 10 yrs., this is first time I had to go looking for help and glad I came here first. Thanks again.

edited to say; Just reading a post regarding a printer driver which made me think why not see if one is available for my HP and there was so now my printer is installed & working!

What make and model of printer? Remember the bitness of the printer drivers must be the same as the OS bitness (32 Bit or 64 Bit). There are times a Vista driver will work with printers when a Win 7 driver is not available.
