I’ve created a custom form based on the Contact form in Outlook 2003. I published it, made it the default form for the folder, and so far so good. However, how do I make the custom fields searchable via the find function? In other words, I want to be able to search the custom fields like the default fields. I’ve searched around (no pun intended) for an answer and come up empty. Thanks

Have you tried Tools | Find | Advanced Find?

Yes, and nothing seems to work. Besides, I need to keep it easy for the people who will be using the form. Digging into the advanced find field isn’t going to fly.

BTW, I’m trying to do this in a public folder (so everyone can share the same contact list).

You may have to write your own search code in VBA…

I was afraid you were going to say that… I’m a complete novice when it comes to VBA, but I’ll search around and see if I can find some suitable code to build on. Thanks.
