I must be missing something here. I’ve used Windows since the Windows 3.1 days. It’s always been the case that when I performed a search, I got a search result window that hung around so that I could work with more than one result. (Windows 8.1 didn’t make it easy; you had to click something like “See more results,” but the option was there.)

Windows 10 Cortana is making me crazy because as soon as I click one search result, the pop-up windows goes away and if I want to investigate another item from my search results, I have to start all over and type the question in again.

I’ve done quite a bit of searching on the web and can’t find anyone else asking this question. Am I missing something simple and obvious here? Or even something obscure? I can’t be the only one with this problem.

Unfortunately, I don’t believe there is a way to pin the results or keep them open. Perhaps that will change in a future release.
