Anyone have experience with a way to do a visual photo search for similar pictures on Win 11? I’m wanting to find all the pics of my grandmother. Problem is that I have 25 folders with 17,000 photos. I can do a photo search filter on my Android phone so Win should be able to, too. I’ve found a few answers on Google, but looking for real-world experience feedback.

I’m a Microsoft 365 subscriber and I have all my photos on Microsoft OneDrive that is part of the MS 365 package however it appears Onedrive is built-in to Windows 11.

I did some poking around and OneDrive does have a built-in search by face recognition feature. I’ve never used it. When viewing the root folder of all my pics in Onedrive using a browser, (not file manager), a click on “People” produces bunch of head shots from your collection of photos. I have over 10k pics and I was amazed at how many it found. One of them was an old black and white my grandmother I had forgotten about. How cool is that?
You can then assign the head shot a name and it will attempt to find all of the images with that face. Whole process was super simple. Your 25k+ pics shouldn’t be problem.
