Wondering why there is a difference between two computers: one has “Quick Searches” (Office), the other does not (Home).  Not sure if this matters but they are different build numbers.  However, Home Search Box was missing ‘Quick searches” since 7/15.

Do you have news and interests turned off or do not have a Microsoft account on the home one?

News and interests have been turned on.  Turned them back off and then on again to see if it would make a difference.  No change.

I do not have a Microsoft account.  However, “Quick searches” showed up as late as 7/15.

Once again tried the Troubleshooter for Search and Indexing.  Answered last question, had me click on Administrator, repaired it and now it is working again.  Version now is 2021.07.20.22692487
