    I have several merged cells with text in them (much less than 255 characters per merged cell). In print preview and in the printed document itself, the full text appears in each cell as written. But in Normal view on the screen, the text does not all appear in the cell. Why? Thanks.

      See this thread, where the problem seems to be the reverse of yours. Care to post a sample?

        Thanks for the reference to the previous discussion. I am inclined to believe that, as someone pointed out, that this is a “known issue” without a good solution. I have managed to work around it by manipulating font size, etc. as recommended. Per your suggestion, I am attaching an earlier version of the document where I discovered the problem. Again, thanks for your help.
